Why choose a heat pump hot water system?
A heat pump hot water system works by capturing heat energy from the surrounding air and using it to heat your water. While it runs on electricity, it is significantly more efficient than a conventional electric hot water system, helping you reduce energy consumption, lower your power bills and minimise your environmental impact.
Why choose the Sanden Eco® Plus Heat pump?
The Sanden Eco® Plus is widely recognised as one of Australia’s leading heat pump hot water systems,
combining advanced Japanese engineering with exceptional energy efficiency.
Key Benefits
✔ Uses up to 78% less electricity than a traditional electric storage hot water system
✔ Faster heat recovery than many conventional
heat pumps
✔ Ideal for off-peak electricity tariffs, delivering “even greater savings
✔ Eligible for some of the highest government rebates available
✔ Environmentally friendly CO₂ refrigerant technology
✔ Whisper-quiet operation
✔ Premium stainless steel storage tank
✔ Outstanding warranty protection and long-term reliability
How does a Sanden heat pump work?
The Sanden Eco® Plus captures heat from the surrounding air and transfers it to your water using advanced heat pump technology.
A fan draws ambient air through the system where the heat is absorbed by natural CO₂ refrigerant. The refrigerant is then compressed, increasing its temperature before transferring the heat into your hot water storage tank.
The result is an extremely energy-efficient system that provides reliable hot water while using a fraction of the electricity required by conventional electric hot water systems.
Smart Split System design
Unlike many heat pump systems, the Sanden Eco® Plus features a split-system design, allowing the heat pump and storage tank to be installed separately.
This provides:
✔ Easier installation
✔ Greater flexibility in tank placement
✔ Improved accessibility
✔ Near-silent operation
✔ A cleaner and more attractive installation
The storage tank can be installed up to four metres from the outdoor heat pump unit, making it suitable for a wide range of homes and properties.
Advanced heat pump features
Exceptional Efficiency
The Sanden Eco® Plus delivers industry-leading performance with a high Coefficient of Performance (COP), producing more hot water while using significantly less electricity.
Fast Heat Recovery
The system can heat a full tank of water faster than many traditional heat pumps, ensuring reliable hot water for busy households.
All Climate Performance
Designed to operate in Australian conditions, the Sanden Eco® Plus performs in temperatures ranging from -10°C to +43°C.
Quiet Operation
With a sound level of just 38dB, the Sanden Eco® Plus is one of the quietest heat pump systems available, making it neighbour-friendly and ideal for residential areas.
Environmentally Friendly
